Information on cookies and similar technologies used by this website, under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Italian Data Protection Authority’s cookie guidelines of 10 June 2021.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by the browser. Similar technologies include local storage, tracking pixels and device fingerprinting. Their legal treatment depends on their actual purpose, not simply on whether they are first-party or third-party.
2. Public-page configuration
The ObliTech theme does not set cookies or local/session storage for visitors browsing the public pages. Language selection is carried by the page URL. The contact form uses a hidden security token and a temporary server-side rate limit, not a tracking cookie. Images are served locally without external media players or advertising integration.
Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled only on the contact form as a security and abuse-prevention measure. ObliTech does not use it for advertising or profiling; depending on the device and configuration, the challenge may use technical browser signals or storage. The theme loads verification when you interact with the form, not when merely browsing or scrolling the page.
No analytics, advertising, retargeting, social pixels or profiling tools are included in this configuration. LinkedIn, ResearchGate and academic resources, when linked, are ordinary external links and are not embedded widgets.
3. Infrastructure-specific technical tools
The current ObliTech theme does not include marketing tracking, advertising pixels or analytics. Aruba infrastructure services (hosting, CDN, HiSpeed Cache) and WordPress may use logs and technical mechanisms needed for delivery, administration and security. When the contact form is active, Cloudflare Turnstile may use browser signals and technical storage to verify requests and prevent abuse. Any specific infrastructure cookie names and lifetimes must be confirmed by browser inspection and provider documentation before final review.
4. WordPress access and administrative cookies
The following WordPress cookie families concern login and administration, not ordinary anonymous browsing. Names may include site-specific suffixes. Actual lifetimes may be changed by the installed configuration.
| Name | Purpose | Standard lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| wordpress_test_cookie | Check browser cookie support during login | Session |
| wordpress_[hash] wordpress_sec_[hash] wordpress_logged_in_[hash] | Authentication and session recognition | Session cookies normally; approximately 14 days with “Remember me”. Authentication validity is normally 2 days without that option. |
| wp-settings-[ID] wp-settings-time-[ID] | Administrative interface preferences | 1 year |
| wp_lang | Language selected on the login screen | Session |
5. Consent and browser controls
The theme code does not include optional tracking tools. Whether the installed website needs a banner depends on the tools actually active, including plugins and infrastructure, and must be assessed against the real configuration. Strictly necessary technical tools alone do not require prior consent. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, potentially limiting functions. These controls do not replace prior consent for optional tools that require it.
6. Changes, controller and rights
Any introduction of optional tracking requires an updated notice and, where required, a mechanism that blocks those tools until consent, offers refusal as readily as acceptance and allows withdrawal. The controller, recipients, retention and data-subject rights are described in the privacy policy.
